Mack Bell




Mack Arthur Bell was born and raised in Roanoke, Alabama. He is 1980 graduate of Handley High School, and he is currently employed by Mohawk Industries. He is married to the former Sandra Morgan, and he has two children, Krystle and Carltavius. Mack was elected as District 2 Council Member in the City of Roanoke in 1988, and he is currently serving his eighth term in office.
    Mack is very involved in his church and the community. He is a member of First Baptist Church (Riley Street) where he serves as Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and past Church Clerk. His civic involvement includes being a member of the Alabama Democratic Conference, Alabama League of Municipalities Executive Committee, Alabama Democratic Party State Executive Committee, and the Alabama Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials. He is the founder of the Young Men and Women Association which was an organization created to assist with the social and political needs of the community, and he founded the Community Volunteer Tutoring Program. His other accomplishments include obtaining the designations of Certified Municipal Official and Advanced Certified Municipal Official through the Alabama League of Municipalities’ Elected Officials Training Program. In 2008 Mack was presented the Distinguished Service Award,in recognition of outstanding performance in promoting the aim and objectives of the Alabama League of Municipalities.
   On July 15, 2016 Mack successfully completed the Auburn University "Basic Economic Development Course" which gives him a better understanding of economic development for Roanoke. He is on the Alabama League of Municipalities Executive Committee and serves as Mayor Protem for Roanoke.
